hahah you mean the habnot team that beat the farm team leafs on the
last weekend of the season??? the weekend following the leafs
bitckslapping the full habnot team/???

hahah

sounds like yer a little testy there davehx........relax...i still
predict the habs will win the series...the bruins were the only the
team the habnots could beat in the first round..... but i am having
second thoughts.....kovelovey and cast seem to be folding like a cheap
prize fighter on a friday nite

i predict a 4-1 win tonite for the bruins and that price will fold

thanks

Darryl, I'll take your bait, as long as you can stomach the catch!

The Bible Of Hockey (The Hockey News) predicted the Canadiens to finish 13th
in the East this year (the Bruins 15th). Not only did the Canadiens make the
playoffs, they took 1st in the East. They led the NHL in goals scored, and
in power play %. They had an NHL-best SEVEN players with 50 points or more,
and played half of the season with a 20-year old goalie. Kinda makes the
naysayers put their feet in their mouths, doesn't it?

Hey, I'd love for the Canadiens to win the Cup as much as any other fan, but
I'm also realistic. Getting into the playoffs was hoped, finishing 1st was a
delight. Everything else is gravy, as long of course as they beat the Bruins
(and yes, if they lose tonight, they're in trouble!). With no cap issues for
the next few seasons and a solid mix of youth and leadership, this is a team
that will be contenders for many years.

Shit on them all you want and continue to use your silly names, but it
doesn't change how the season turned out for a team that was supposed to
finish 13th in the conference. You should give credit where it is due. As a
Leafs fan you can hate the Habs all you want, but you have to admire the
effort this team has put in. And while I think Bruce Boudreau should win the
Jack Adams, Guy Carbonneau should also get strong consideration.

Cheerfully,
a realistic (and happy) Canadiens fan.

PS: Did you see the cover of Maclean's this week?

The Bible Of Hockey (The Hockey News)
wow , the bible, i think it is jibberish bt we all have our opinion on
that rag....

that is very subjective to say the least

the east turned out to be the weak sister of the league look at the
points and u will see the diff ...

why so??? they over acheived and had a very good year....nothing
wrong with that....

you are a rare bird then, there are only a couple of habnot fans that
i know that are open minded enough to take a playoff appearance for
what it is...

the bruins are hte only team that they could beat in a long series,
the bruins have been pansies for a decade in the post season....

contenders for what....a playoff appearance i agree, but the stanley
cup...nah, never happen....

either way, 1-16 means nothing....other than some badly needed monies
for the ownership to pay the bills with...and the weak eastern isnt
what anyone thought it would be, not the the habnots

nope , the only thing i read as of late is the Golfing News **hehe
