I don't think you can place all the blame Price. Last night it seemed to me
that the Habs were more interested in checking and finishing their checks
then actually playing the game. Several times the defence men would leave
position to make a check which allowed the Flyers to move the puck. On
example of this is Scottie Upshall's game winner. Not to take anything away
from the "Bell Island Boy", but he was left alone in front of the net.

Price on the other hand had better learn to play the game and consentrate on
being a goalie. The past couple of games he's been more interested in
slashing and shoving opposing players who stand too close to the crease.
I'm surprised that he only got one penelty in the series.

the flyers had a standout at every position

goal: Biron was fantastic. playoff goaltending at its best
defense: coburn did his job. he suffocated kovalev
front: umberger (whom i'd love to hear homer simpson say his name just
obnce ...ummmmmburger,,,,) andways...was awesome. secondary scoring is
a playoff need.

montreal had no standouts. kovalev..gone...markov....what the hell.
price? terrible. IMO koivu and josh gorges were the best players for
the habs in this series and thats not good enough

the flyers played complete hockey

Biron really impressed me in his post-game interview with Elliiot Friedman.
What a classy guy. Ranks up there with Nik Lidstrom, Joe Sakic and Chris
Osgood as one of the most well-spoken players in the NHL.

Not gonna make excuses here, Habs had their asses handed to them. Philly
deserved the win. Still, nothing for the team to hang their heads over
considering they were picked to finish 13th. Cutting some dead weight from
the team and picking up a couple of mid-range free agents, and this team
should crack 100 pts. again next season.

And Kudos for Bob Cole for bringing up Upshall's Bell Island connection.
Cole has been horrible this playoff and please God this will be his last
season, but nice touch at the end.

I know one of Scottie's aunts and I'm probably never going to hear the end
of Scottie scored the GWG that put the Habs out of the playoffs.

I was surprised to hear of Upshall's Newfoundland connections, as I
had no knowledge of this before. San Jose with Clowe, Detroit with
Cleary, Montreal with Ryder(even though Carbonneau has a grudge
against him) and Philly with Upshall, good to see some Newfoundland
connections to the playoffs.

i placed no blame at all....

i was commenting that the fans actually sang to him and cheered him on
when they saw him struggling a little and that is a rare thing in any
arena , kudos to them...

and i am still waiting on a time and place

You know Darryl for all the ups and downs this year for us Habs fans, I
think one of the hardest parts of the season ending, is know ing that Ryder
is done as a Hab. I know if you aren't a Hab fan then that's likely a good
thing but it has been great to have a local boy on my team of choice. I just
hope he stays away form Boston and Toronto ;)

That being said, I hope to see him in a western Conference uniform next
season and filling the net like we know he can. I think he got the rawest of
deals in Montreal this year (some deserved but not all) and can bouce back
with numbers next year.

I'd like to see Ryder end up somewhere like Calgary or Vancouver, to
add some much needed shooting ability up front. With a new scenery and
away from the soap opera behind the scenes in Montreal, I think he
could shine once again.
